Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps on Android in El Salvador: Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 cryptocurrency apps on the Android platform in El Salvador showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Below, we dive into the trends for each app.

Chivo Wallet experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting with about 6K downloads at the end of December and peaking at 8.4K in the week of January 23. Downloads then saw a decline, reaching around 4.5K by mid-March. The app's weekly active users started at 431K and saw a general upward trend, peaking at approximately 546K by late March.

Riverex had a more erratic download pattern. Beginning with 3.6K downloads at the end of December, it dropped to just over 100 downloads by mid-January, only to rise again to nearly 2.9K in the week of February 20. The app did not record any weekly active users data.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto showed a modest download trend, with numbers oscillating between 100 to 644 weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Weekly active users saw a peak of about 58.8K in early January, stabilizing around the mid-50K range for most of the quarter before ending at 44K in late March.

SafePal: Crypto Wallet BTC NFT saw a dramatic increase in downloads in early March, reaching 403 downloads before settling back to about 39 by the end of the month. Active users for SafePal started at 1.9K at the end of December and peaked at 2.5K in early March before dropping to 1.3K by the end of the quarter.
